The stadium is home to the men's football and women's soccer teams and is named for its main financial benefactor Clarence Mackay, the heir to a silver baron. The University of Nevada Wolfpack plays at this venue against other teams in the Mountain West Conference like the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. The stadium was first built and opened in 1996 with a maximum capacity of 7,500. Since then, the venue has been expanded significantly.
