Located on the university campus in West Lafayette, Indiana, Mackey Arena is the official home of the Purdue University Boilermakers men's and women's basketball teams. It sometimes hosts volleyball games and wrestling matches as well. Opened in 1967 as a replacement for Lambert Fieldhouse, the venue was originally known as Purdue Arena until the university changed the name in 1972 to honor the long-serving athletic director Guy "Red" Mackey. The court itself is known as Keady Court. It is named after former head basketball coach Gene Keady, who coached the team between 1980 and 2005. The arena features a domed aluminum roof, making it one of the loudest arenas in the country. Mackey Arena now has a seating capacity of 14,804 for basketball games after undergoing several renovations between 2007 and 2012. If you want to attend an event, then you can purchase your Mackey Arena tickets at StubHub.
