From grime to garage
Staged at Birmingham's creative quarter, Digbeth, in 2014, the inaugural Made Festival welcomed the likes of Annie Mac, Chase and Status and Sub Focus to its two stages. Co-produced by dance music brand GlobalGathering Group, the celebration of grime, drum and bass, house, techno, garage and various other electronic subgenres has continued to attract names of equal calibre ever since. Headliners included MK, Wilkinson and Julio Bashmore in 2015, Rudimental, Stormzy and Dusky in 2016 and Giggs, Gorgon City and High Contrast in 2017. In 2018 the Made Festival celebrated its fifth edition by relocating to Perry Barr's Perry Park where it welcomed the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Kurupt FM and Andy C to its five stages. The Made Festival also ensures that local acts are given their time in the spotlight, with Call Me Unique, Lady Sanity and Kofi Stone just some of the names who have appeared at the event. A cross between open-air festival and gritty rave
Described as the perfect balance between an open-air festival and a gritty urban rave, the Made Festival offers more than just music. Attendees can also enjoy the best performance art, graffiti art and street culture that the U.K.'s second city has to offer, as well as sample a wide range of cuisine at various food stalls. But the party doesn't stop there. In 2018, two new Made Festival club nights also opened their doors until the early hours of the morning, with the Bass Lovers Party at the O2 Institute in Digbeth and the House Lovers Party at Amusement 13 attracting thousands of revellers. The festival expanded further later that year with the staging of Made for the Weekend, a feast of dance and hip-hop music held at Birmingham's Genting Arena, which boasted the likes of Pusha T, Stefflon Don and Hannah Wants on its line-up. Whether it's the main event, the after-hours club nights or the arena show that takes your fancy, there's a whole range of Made Festival tickets waiting to be snapped up on StubHub.
