Mako tour dates
An American DJ with a rock star lifestyle, Alex Seaver is Mako. However, if you have witnessed Mako live in the past, you might know that Seaver actually used to have a partner and that they used to perform as a duo. But his former partner, rhythm producer Logan Light, officially left the group in 2017. Either way, Mako burst onto the electric dance scene in 2011 and has enjoyed a healthy fan base ever since.
Seaver and Light came together in order to form their own signature sound. Essentially extended family, the two young men met because their fathers were both roommates and good friends while attending Syracuse University. However, Light ended up attending Columbia University as a communications major, while Seaver went to The Julliard School on a full music scholarship.
Eventually, Light began to gain popularity on the music scene, and he started to book some major gigs. Once Seaver graduated, the two met up in California. Although they both had musical backgrounds, their styles were vastly different from one another. Nevertheless, Mako was officially formed in 2011, and the rest is rock and roll history.
Mako's biggest hits
Although Mako is notorious for a variety of tracks, their single "Beam" was the first one to light the way. Dannic from Revealed Records remixed the track, and it played at an array of music festivals worldwide, which helped to further cement its fame. Furthermore, one of their most recent hits, "I Won't Let You Walk Away," which was a vocal version of the track "Sunburst," received notoriety due to the inclusion of the vocals from YouTube sensation Madison Beer. Additionally, Mako was featured in Steve Angello's, "Children of the Wild," which is also now a popular track.
Despite the fact that the duo is no longer together, the soul of the group remains intact. This is due to the fact that, by Light's own admission, Alex was the driving force behind the group. Light even bragged that Seaver was "the most talented musical person he ever met" and that he never would have made to where he was without him.
Light went on to say that, while musical composition can be difficult, this is a world in which Alex was right at home and even thrived in. So, if fans are a bit nervous about seeing Mako since the split, they should take comfort in the fact that the most passionate and talented member is still a part of the Mako experience.
