On a small Greek island, Sophie Sheridan is a young bride-to-be who sends three wedding invitations to three different men; based on what she read in her mother’s diary, she suspects that one of them is her father. Her motive is that she would like her father to give her away at the altar. She invites these men without telling her mother, with the idea that after she spends time with each one, she will know who should escort her down the aisle.
As the wedding festivities start to unroll, all of the men show up—together—for Sophie’s wedding and are spotted on the property by her mother, who proceeds to have an entertaining panic attack with her two best friends in tow.
As the story unfolds, there is mishap after mishap, romance, comedy and adventure. It is a fun-loving, energetic story that will continuously pull at your heartstrings.
