From East Nashville to Glastonbury
Margo Price is a staple of the East Nashville music scene, which focuses on Americana and alt-country rather than the pop/country featured in the honky-tonks on Broadway. Price worked up to headliner at clubs like The Basement East and the 5 Spot. When Jack White's label Third Man Records released her first single, the celebration was held at The Basement East. Price's popularity quickly spread from the East Side of Nashville to the UK where both of her studio albums went to No. 1. She toured the UK in 2016, played the main stage at the Glastonbury Festival in 2017 and was part of the Country to Country Festival in 2018. Price was nominated for three UK Americana Awards in 2017 and won International Song of the Year with "Hands of Time."
