Who are some of the players who are on the roster of the Merrimack Warriors?Hockey fans present in the audience when the Merrimack Warriors play will be able to see a group of talented hockey players doing what they do best. Some of the players on the team’s roster include goaltenders Jere Huhtamaa and James Corcoran; defensemen Jacob Modry, Patrick Holway and team captain Tyler Drevitch; and forwards Liam Walsh, Patrick Kramer, Hugo Esselin and Ben Brar.
What is Merrimack Warriors’ schedule throughout the 2019-2020 season?On January 31 and February 1, 2020, the Merrimack Warriors played two back-to-back away games against the Maine Black Bears. After that, there was a home game against the UMass Lowell Riverhawks on February 8, 2020. February 14 and 15 featured back-to-back home games for the Warriors against the UMass Minutemen. The following week, on February 21 and 22, 2020, the Warriors played back-to-back games against the Providence Friars. The first of these was an away game, and the latter was a home game. Then, on February 27, 2020, the Warriors took on the Boston College Eagles in an away game. Beyond this, no further games for the season have been scheduled.
In which arenas does the Merrimack Warriors team play its games?The Warriors play all of its home games at Lawler Arena, a 2,549-seat hockey arena that is part of the Merrimack Athletics Complex. During the 2012-2013 season, the rink was completely renovated, adding four new luxury suites to its layout. Since the Warriors team is part of the Hockey East Conference, it also plays many games at the home arenas of other teams who are part of the conference, like the Mullins Center at UMass Amherst, home of the UMass Minutemen, and the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell, home of the UMass Lowell Riverhawks.
Is the Merrimack Warriors team involved in any historical rivalries?The Merrimack Warriors men’s hockey team’s deepest and longest-lasting historical rivalry is undoubtedly with the UMass Lowell Riverhawks. The rivalry dates back to the late 1970s, around the time when both teams were able to cross over from Division II into Division I.
