Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Tickets
The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders first came onto the scene as a football team in 1911. Even from an early start, the players on the Blue Raiders team established themselves as an athletic force, garnering an undefeated season in 1914. The team went through a string of coaches over the next few decades, but the players racked up some decent records during these years despite the turnover. Charles Murphy coached the team starting in 1947, and he remains both the longest-serving and the coach with the most wins in the history of the university's football program. He led the Blue Raiders to four undefeated seasons during his 22-season tenure as head coach. However, he was asked to resign in 1968 following a particularly bad year. The next coach didn't last long, but Bill Peck improved the team when he started in 1970. Over the years, the Blue Raiders have appeared in 12 bowl games.
