Mike Tramp grew up in the Danish city of Vesterbro, and it wasn’t long before he was making his mark on the Danish music scene. He became a teen idol after joining pop band Mabel, releasing five studio albums and becoming hugely popular across Scandinavia and Europe. After winning the Danish Song Contest, Mabel went on to represent their country at 1978’s Eurovision with the song "Boom Boom". Tramp later left Mabel and formed White Lion in 1983, the band achieving huge success with a hard rock style reminiscent of acts such as Megadeth and Alice Cooper. The band went on to release a number of albums, their most popular being 1987’s "Pride", which produced their biggest hit, "When the Children Cry". After White Lion disbanded, Tramp pursued a number of different projects but, with years of songwriting and performing experience under his belt, found that a solo career was his true calling, offering the artistic freedom he needed.
