Who is the head coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s hockey team?The Golden Gophers' head coach is Bob Motzko. Motzko joined Minnesota for the 2018–2019 season after a 13-year tenure with St. Cloud State. During his time at St. Cloud State, Motzko rebuilt the hockey program from the ground up, creating what is now a nationally recognized program. Bob Motzko also had a history with the Golden Gophers before being named head coach. He was an assistant coach for the Golden Gophers from 2001 to 2005.
