Mirja Boes: at home on stage
Boes’ interest in the stage has existed for a long time, with the performer studying at Leipzig’s University of Music and Theatre and going on to join the Compagnia 82 theatre company soon after graduating. She honed her craft on various stages around Germany and as part of improvisational comedy groups, before going on to perform regularly at a club on the island of Mallorca during the summer of 2001. She joined a musical comedy group by the name of the Mallorca Allstars and released a number of singles, the second of which, "Wir ham doch keine Zeit ...", went on to be a charting hit for the comedian. She began appearing regularly on television from 2002, featuring on the sketch show "Die Dreisten Drei" alongside comedians such as Ralf Schmitz, as well as in various other popular shows and even feature-length films. The autumn of 2007 saw Boes debut her solo show "Tomorrow I'll End ... Probably!" at the Cologne Comedy Festival, and ever since she has been established as one of Germany’s leading comedy performers. To see her for yourself, grab your Mirja Boes tickets today or put your tickets up for sale with StubHub.
German comedy’s favourite carrot
The comedian has regularly performed under the stage name Möhre – the German word for carrot – and you could say that she is known for offering a healthy dose of top-quality comedy while on stage. As well as being a much-loved performer, TV personality and actress, Boes is also a published author with her memoir "Unspeakably Embarrassing" and has been the host of a number of radio shows. While regularly performing live shows, Boes is probably known best for her musical career and the party music with a comedic edge that is still known by many across Germany. In 2007, as part of the comedy group "Frei Schnauze", she received the German Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show and followed that up in 2008 with the award of Best Comedian, representing her fantastic contribution to the business and her hilarious presence both on stage and on screen. If you’re a fan of German comedy from the likes of Carolin Kebekus and Chris Tall, you’ll certainly in for a treat. Buy or sell your Mirja Boes tickets right here with StubHub!
