Mom Jeans self-released their first full-length album, Best Buds, in 2016; however, they reissued this album once they signed to Counter Intuitive Records. In 2017, Mom Jeans and the band Graduating Life released a split EP. Following that EP, Mom Jeans covered a song on the split EP NOW That's What I Call Music Vol. 420.
Towards the end of 2017, the band announced that they would be signing with SideOneDummy Records; however, they confirmed on a social media post that they would continue to work with Counter Intuitive Records instead of SideOneDummy Records.
In the summer of 2018, Mom Jeans released their second album titled Puppy Love.
Mom Jeans is made up of four members. Eric Butler performs on the guitar and as the main vocalist. Gabriel Paganin plays the bass. Austin Carango is a vocalist and plays the drums while Bart Thompson is also a vocalist and plays the guitar.
In the past, Josh Perline played the guitar and bass while Matt Falls played the drums. Both members retired from the band on good terms.
Mom Jeans' biggest hit is their single "Death Cup" as it has more than 170,000 views on YouTube. "Death Cup" is a song about heartbreak and breakups. The lead singer is questioning what to do after a breakup and how he is supposed to get over his ex.
