The Moore Theatre was built in 1907, and it was intended to be a lavish social venue adjoining the Moore Hotel to entertain tourists of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Moore Theatre mixes the Byzantine and Italianate styles, using a steel girder to carry the weight of the balcony without the need for columns. Recorded performances include The Who's Tommy, Pearl Jam's Even Flow and Wanda Sykes' Sick and Tired. Other performers include Paula Poundstone, Chelsea Handler and Art Garfunkel. Tickets for Moore Theatre events can be purchased at StubHub.
