With music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a story by Alexandre Dumas and choreography by Marius Petipa, the Nutcracker is a holiday ritual as warming as roasted chestnuts. In this production, young Masha falls in love with a Nutcracker Prince doll, which her jealous brother Fritz promptly breaks. Unseen, Uncle Drosselmeyer is there to cast his magic.

Unable to sleep, Masha tiptoes around the house and discovers that her Nutcracker doll has come to life. The Rat King reveals his presence and declares war on the Nutcracker. After a victory, Nutcracker Prince takes Masha's hand and transports her - and the audience - on a journey to the Snow Forest with dancing snow maidens, and onto the Land of Peace and Harmony, where the company places its own spin on the stunning Garden of Delights.

It's one of the most visually captivating spectacles of the season, with Academy Award nominee Carl Sprague's (La La Land, The Grand Budapest Hotel) intricately detailed backdrops.
