Where will the NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals be played?Doak Field at Dail Park, which opened in 1966 before being renovated in 2003, will play host to all six or seven games at the NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals. Throughout the season, North Carolina State fans regularly fill most of its seats. Its average attendance in 2019, a school record, was 2,682 or 87% of this facility’s capacity. Its post-renovation single-game attendance record was an above-capacity crowd of 3,123, which saw NCSU outlast rival North Carolina, 7–3, on April 27, 2013. Its largest crowd for an NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals contest was 3,051; that’s how many saw North Carolina State outlast William & Mary in a pitcher’s duel, 1–0, on June 1, 2013. That many fans also watched the Wolfpack beat Rice in a pair of NCAA Baseball Super Regionals contests a week later, on June 8 and 9.

In 2016, Coastal Carolina went 3-1 at the NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals, going 2–1 against the hosts and also defeating Saint Mary’s, before riding that momentum to an NCAA Baseball Super Regionals win over LSU and a 6–2 record at the College World Series. The Chanticleers defeated Arizona in the championship series.
When were the NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals first played?North Carolina State first played host to the NCAA Baseball Regionals in 2008. The Wolfpack prevailed over its foes with a 3–0 record, defeating James Madison once and South Carolina twice. Charlotte also took part in that competition. NCSU would also play host to this event in 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2018.
When will the 2020 NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals be played?If North Carolina State is awarded hosting rights in 2020, the NCAA Baseball Raleigh Regionals will be played from May 29–June 1. The participating teams will be revealed on the Selection Show on May 25. Game times will be announced early that week, but they will likely be similar to what was the case in 2018. That year, contests were played at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on each of the first three days while a final contest on the fourth day, which was ultimately not necessary that year, was scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
