What are the dates of the 2020 NCAA Softball Regionals Seattle?If the Washington Huskies are selected as a 2020 NCAA Softball Regionals host, these games will be played from either May 14–16 or May 15–17. Two contests will be played on the first day of the event. The second day will be the busiest with three games, and one or two contests on the final day will determine the regional champion. The winner will advance to a best-of-three series against another regional champion, which will be played between May 21–24.

After failing to make the NCAA Softball Tournament in its inaugural season of 1993, UW did break through a year later and traveled to California to play in the NCAA Softball Regionals Fullerton. The program kept progressing and hosted its own regional in 1995 and won its inaugural regional title in 1996, which was also played in Seattle. In fact, NCAA Softball Regionals Seattle ticket holders were able to attend this competition for six straight years, from 1995–2000, the longest such run in history. Washington has also hosted this event from 2002–03, 2006–07, 2010–14 and 2016–19.
Who won the 2019 NCAA Softball Regionals Seattle?The host school cruised to a regional title at this event a year ago. A tight 2–0 win for Washington over Fordham was followed by more comfortable victories against runner-up Mississippi State, 6–1 and 8–0. Seattle University’s team, which had made the short 3-mile trip from its campus in downtown Seattle, finished third, relegating Fordham to a fourth-place showing after the Redhawks sent the Rams back to New York following a 1–0 win.
What is Husky Softball Stadium like?Husky Softball Stadium, the host facility for the NCAA Softball Regionals Seattle, has been the home of this event since it opened on April 8, 1994. Washington commemorated its opening with a regular-season win over Willamette. A total of 200 fans attending games here get to enjoy theater-style seats with the rest in bench seating.
