In the spring of 2020, the NHRA rolls into the Atlanta Dragway for the 40th running of the Southern Nationals. How is the Atlanta Dragway configured?

Atlanta Dragway was built in 1975 on the site of a planned airport northeast of Atlanta, Ga. It operated as a red clay dirt dragstrip until 1980. It then became sanctioned for competition by the NHRA. It has been continuously updated by several owners, including Pro Stock driver Gary Brown. The NHRA has owned the facility since 1993. With its 660-foot launch pad and 1,002-foot elevation, the track is considered a special challenge for NHRA crew chiefs. He beat Melissa Surber, Ryan Oehler and Hector Arana Jr. on the way to the finals. Savoie and Arana Jr. will be back with a mission to deny Hines a repeat win.
