Nippert Stadium is the official home of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team. Located in the middle of the Clifton campus, the stadium is one of the oldest in the country. It is named in honor of former player James Gamble Nippert, who died in 1923 from a football-related injury. Though the stadium officially broke ground in 1915, it completed construction in 1924 after James N. Gamble of Proctor & Gamble donated the remaining funds in honor of his grandson. The stadium has a total seating capacity of approximately 40,000 people for football games. It has also been a major site for soccer games, including international friendlies and US Open Cups. FC Cincinnati, which began playing in the MLS during the 2018 season, calls Nippert Stadium a temporary home. Purchase your Nippert Stadium tickets at StubHub.
