There is a growing buzz about Noah Carter. This mystery man of Danish hip-hop is bursting out of the shadows and bringing his musical message to a wider world. Everyone's talking about Noah Carter. Find out why when you buy and sell Noah Carter tickets on StubHub.
Noah Carter reaches out to a global audience
Noah Carter from Copenhagen has created a unique, freestyle sound from mixing hip-hop, R&B and grime to his northern European roots. In fact, a man who has mixed Ivorian, African-American and Korean ancestry defies easy categorisation. The strong Viking rapper has fast become a household name in Denmark, where hip-hop is thriving, and now aims to become familiar to a global audience. He sings and raps in English, something he attributes to his mother, with whom he lived for a while in New York as a child. To his sombre synthesiser sounds, he adds a frenetic grime vibe and a melodic soundscape that is wholly Scandinavian. Bass-induced trap beats and hazy R&B and Atlanta trap, something he picked up from Bryson Tiller, loom large in his repertoire, along with piano backing. "Hip-hop will always stay relevant if political injustice continues," says Noah Carter, who spent time in prison before his release in 2014. Purchase or offload Noah Carter tickets at StubHub.
The poster boy for Danish hip-hop
Hits such as B.O and Do You featured on his first album, which he called Couch Dreams. It all added to his growing reputation. Noah Carter was influenced by Drake, the 'poster boy' for Canadian rap. "If I'm going to be the poster boy for Danish hip-hop, I'll be honoured," he said in a magazine interview. Other artists he admires include Kanye West, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar, along with Mos Def, The Roots and Common, while he has said he would love to perform alongside Lauryn Hill and Frank Ocean. He has also been likened to acclaimed British grime star Jorja Smith. The word is already out in his native land. There he won the Danish Music Award for Danish Newcomer of the Year. Working alongside renowned producer Jens Ole McCoy, formerly of Ukendt Kunstner, served to refine his individualistic style of music. There is something special brewing in Denmark, and he has already taken his act to venues in Britain. To get a taste of Copenhagen's latest wonder, buy or sell Noah Carter tickets at StubHub.
