Oklahoma City Energy FC TicketsThe Oklahoma City Energy FC, which is the brainchild of local businessman Bob Funk, Jr., Tim McLaughlin and Prodigal LLC, is a member of the USL Championship — the second tier American soccer league behind MLS. During its inaugural season of 2014, OKC finished 10th in the USL with a record of 9-14-5. However, OKC proved to be a quick success. In both 2015 and 2017, the team narrowly missed out on a spot in the championship game: the first time losing to the LA Galaxy II 2-1 and then Swope Park in extra-time penalty kicks. At various times, OKC has been affiliated with FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City, meaning that players could be assigned from the MLS to the Energy for continued development and experience.
