Melyssa Lombardi become the Oregon Ducks head softball coach on July 9, 2018. She is the program's 12th head coach. She joined Oregon after 21 years on the coaching staff at Oklahoma, including 11 as associate head coach. With direct responsibilities for pitchers and catchers, Lombardi played a strong role in four championships at Oklahoma, including back to back in 2016 and 2017. Lombardi was the 2017 Assistant Softball Coach of the Year for the NCAA's Division I. Lombardi's pitchers led the nation with a 1.12 ERA in 2018. Her teams have produced 20 All-Americans, two USA Softball Pitcher of the Year awardees and 77 All-Big 12 honorees. She graduated from Oklahoma in 1997 with a degree in health and sports science. She is a native of Glendale, Ariz.

The Oregon Ducks play their home games in Jane Sanders Stadium on 18th and University in Eugene, Ore. Named in honor of Oregon alumni Jane Sanders, Class of 1951, the university broke ground on the facility in June of 2015. The stadium features 1,500 permanent seats, including covered seating for 500 behind home plate. Another 1,000 fans can enjoy the game from the center field bleachers. In 2019, the Ducks averaged 1,925 fans per home game. The facility also features a team meeting room, film room, training room and batting practice cages. The field is artificial turf with a real dirt infield. The left-center-right dimensions are 200-225-200 feet.
