Patrice O'Neal TicketsPatrice O'Neal was an American actor, radio host and stand-up comedian. He began his comedy career in October 1992 when he performed a set at Estelle's in Boston under the name "Bruiser O'Neal." He continued to develop his act in Boston until 1998 when he relocated to New York City and began to work regular spots at the renowned Comedy Cellar. Between 1998 and 2002, the Patrice OÕNeal tour took the comedian to many spots in LA and England, and he even had a brief stint as a writer for the WWE. However, O'Neal's career well and truly took off after the release of his 2002 Showtime special Unmasked with Patrice O'Neal. Between that time and when he died from diabetes in 2011, O'Neal continued to release comedy specials and make appearances in shows, such as Showtime at the Apollo, Arrested Development and The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen. Comedy Meets World Wrestling EntertainmentAn encounter with a WWE executive led O'Neal to accept a writing position with the organization in 2000. During his time with WWE, O'Neal visited Vince McMahon's home, traveled on the organization's private jet to live shows and even directed some short storylines. Upon the expiry of his original contract, O'Neal was offered a 13-week extension but chose to turn it down. He was later quoted as saying that if he had continued to work with WWE, "it wouldn't have been a dream," and that he preferred to keep his time with the organization "short and sweet."
