The Percival Molson Memorial Stadium was initially built back in 1915 as the McGill Graduates Stadium. It was renamed in 1917 after the death of famous athlete and soldier, Percival Molson. Over the years, the stadium has hosted many events; in fact, it's even seen some Olympic-level sports. Unfortunately, the stadium fell into disrepair over time, but thanks to a chance situation in 1997 when the popular Irish rock band U2 needed a place to play in Montreal, the stadium was restored and eventually became the home of the Montreal Alouettes. Several acts have played at the stadium like The Police, and fans enjoy seeing a game between the Alouettes and their CFL rivals like the BC Lions or the Ottawa Redblacks.
