Originally named the Phoenix International Raceway when it opened in 1964, Phoenix Raceway hosts two NASCAR race weekends each year. Located just 20 miles from Phoenix city limits in Avondale, Ariz., Phoenix Raceway, a mile-long track, is nestled next to the aesthetic Estrella Mountains, allowing for picturesque views. What is Phoenix Raceway's seating capacity?
The grandstands hold 42,000 patrons. There are also tickets available to enjoy the races from the Hillside area. There are no seats, so guests are urged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on. The option to watch races from this area is increasingly popular because of its unique views and lower ticket pricing.
Can I bring my kids to Phoenix Raceway?
Phoenix Raceway provides entertainment for the entire family. Certain events allow kids to enter the track for free with a paying parent. The track also hosts autograph sessions, interactive displays and a chance to meet the drivers. From the beginning of April through mid-May, Segway tours are offered daily at the track.
Is there on-site parking at Phoenix Raceway?
There is free general parking available at the racetrack if you do not mind walking a bit. You can purchase premium parking passes should you prefer to park closer to the track. There are multiple shuttles, including golf cart transportation, from the various lots to the racetrack.

The Trackside Bar & Grill offers live music, drink specials and race-themed food throughout race weekends. Is Phoenix Raceway wheelchair accessible?
Yes. When a wheelchair-accessible ticket is purchased, an accessible parking space is also reserved for the patron. There are elevators and escalators for accessing the upper levels. Accessible accommodations with companion seating are available in the Bobby Allison Grandstand in the upper and lower levels.
