An American rapper from Anaheim, California, Phora began his music career in 2010. By 2011, he had founded his own record label, known as Yours Truly. He also released an album in 2017, titled Yours Truly Forever, which peaked at No. 44 on the US Billboard Charts.
Touring the world, mainly performing throughout North America, Phora has shared the stage with many noteworthy artists, including G-Eazy and Trippie Redd. When he does go on tour, Phora tickets sell quick, as he has built a dedicated following.
Formerly known as Marco Anthony Archer, Phora worked as a tattoo artist before emerging as a rap artist. When he was just 16 years of age, somebody nearly stabbed Phora to death in Anaheim -- where he was born and raised. Before the age of 22, he also survived a shooting and a near-fatal car accident.
Growing up, he admits that graffiti fueled his creative expression and passion for music, but it was his father that influenced him to pursue music. He looked up to artists such as Logic and J. Cole. Using his life experiences to fuel his music, Phora has also offered his fans honesty and transparency.
Although he developed his own label in 2011, Phora signed to Warner Brothers in 2017. This was a large career milestone, as some of the artists currently signed to the label include the Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, Gorillaz and Cher. Often writing about his past experiences and struggles, some of his fan's favorite albums include With Love, Sincerely Yours, Still a Kid and Angel with Broken Wings.
From 2012 to 2017, Phora wrote and recorded seven albums. He has remained committed to his musical journey, and it has paid off. His 2014 EP, Nights Like These, peaked at No. 83 on the Top US Rap Albums Chart.
His album Your Truly Forever peaked at No. 1 on the same chart in 2017. His breakout single, "Sinner" had more than 2 million plays on SoundCloud and an additional 6 million views on YouTube. Featured in dozens of music videos -- many of which he directed, Phora is no stranger to the camera. With over 100 million total YouTube views under his belt and hundreds of thousands of followers, he is a household name in the hip-hop industry.
Before his contract with Warner Bros, Phora was an independent artist. Because he mixes his own tracks, it is his dedication and perseverance that has created a community of fans. Many of them have followed him from the very beginning, and eagerly look forward to Phora tour dates.
