Randalls Island and its sister island, Wards, are conjoined islands located in the vicinity of midtown Manhattan. Randalls Island is unique in its separation by water from Manhattan proper, the Bronx and Staten Island. Managed by the Randalls Island Park Alliance, Randalls Island is home to a little under 2,000 residents spread over 520 acres, with parkland comprising most of the remaining 430 acres. Randalls Island is arguably most famous for being the site of three annual music festivals: Electric Zoo Festival, Panorama Music Festival and Governor's Ball Music Festival. Each festival consistently draws up-and-coming and top music acts like Jorja Smith, Kacey Musgraves and Brockhampton.
