Raycom College Football All Star Classic TicketsAfter its opening in 1922, Cramton Bowl hosted historic football games such as those played in the Blue-Gray Football Classic from 1939 to 2001 and in 2003. When Raycom sports proposed a postseason classic to be held in 2013, Montgomery rejoiced at new all-star gridiron action after a hiatus. In 1979, Rick and Dee Ray formed Raycom Sports, which was based in Montgomery. The company fostered alliances with the ACC, in addition to the SEC, Big Eight and Big Ten conferences. The name Raycom became so respected that when the company was sold in 1996, the buyers changed the name only slightly to Raycom Media. It wasn't until 2010 that ESPN replaced Raycom Media in football and basketball events. By the time of the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic, Raycom Media's syndicated sports group planned an annual postseason football game, but its first one proved to be its last. The game served its purpose nobly because 10 players eventually gained contracts via their exposure in the Classic. Grab tickets to see your favorite college football teams at StubHub.
