In 1991, fans cheered as the Penn State men's basketball team won the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament at Rec Hall. The Penn State basketball teams have since moved to the Bryce Jordan Center, but Rec Hall, also known as the Recreation Building, is still home to five university teams: wrestling, men's and women's gymnastics, and men's and women's volleyball. The women's volleyball team has won over 600 games at Rec Hall. Both the wrestling team and the men's gymnastics team have won national championships in the venue. In addition to hosting athletic events in its two gyms, this busy facility on the school's University Park campus also holds a fitness center, an indoor track and squash and racquetball courts for students.
