Revolution Live - Live Rock Music From Local and National Musicians
Revolution Live is a music and performing arts club located in the cultural center of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Many bands, musicians and other performing artists bring their shows and tours to the indoor and outdoor stages in this historic property.
Revolution Live History
Revolution Live opened in 2004 and has a strong focus on bringing rock acts to the stage. The owner, Jeff John, ended up the sole proprietor of this venue when his partners ran out of money. He was barely out of college at the time but managed to keep Revolution Live thriving through a fire, multiple hurricanes and other challenges. Lady Gaga, Dropkick Murphys and Nonpoint are a few of the bands he's attracted.
Revolution Live Events
The majority of Revolution Live's events have some tie to rock music. Not all of the musicians and performing artists are strictly in this genre, but their music is strongly influenced by rock elements. This venue is a popular stop for touring artists who want to perform in Florida. Concert goers can also find charity events and themed festivals ranging from pop-punk to emo. Occasional special events add more variety to the lineup.
Revolution Live Seating Layout
Revolution Live has one indoor and one outdoor stage. Most of the seating is general admission and standing room only. The venue has a capacity of 1,300. Concert goers can stay on the first floor, which is on the same level as the stage, or get an overhead view on the second floor. The facility is 27,000 square feet and often gets filled during popular shows.
The only space with seating in this venue is the VIP area on the Mezzanine level. Visitors can only get access to this area if they purchase bottle service. The building often gets updated with renovations that add more sound and lighting equipment to improve the quality of the shows.
