Nate Lashley went from barely qualifying to play on the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic schedule to a wire-to-wire win in the golfing tournament in a matter of four days. Lashley was the competition's leader at the end of each round of the tournament and ended with a score that was 25 under par to secure his first PGA Tour event win. The 263 scored by Lashley was enough to top second-place finisher Doc Redman by six strokes. Wes Roach and Rory Sabbatini each tallied scores of 270 to finish seven strokes back of Lashley and tied for third place. Six other golfers tied for fifth place at the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic with scores of 271.
