Rüdiger Hoffmann Tickets
Immerse yourself in the comedy cabaret world of Rudiger Hoffmann
Rudiger Hoffmann has long been one of Germany's premier stand-up comedians, cabaret artists and musicians. Since his schooldays, he has played in rock bands while also acting in musicals and comedy theatre productions. He has a mellow, almost softly spoken way about him when he performs and always includes some form of musical performance in his act, often singing to his own piano accompaniment. He is a quietly mesmerising artist and well-respected as an all-round entertainer in Germany. Discover his unique approach to comedy when you buy or sell Rudiger Hoffmann tickets on StubHub.
Cabaret worthy of supporting The Rolling Stones
Rudiger Hoffmann formed his own cabaret group with his friend Ralf Kabelka while he was still at school, known as Die Papnasen. It was one of a few musical groups and theatre ensembles that he was a part of before he embarked on a solo career as a stand-up comic once he'd graduated. The early 1990s was the time when he first began his rise to prominence, chalking up some very successful appearances on the "Quatsch Comedy Club" on German TV channel Pro7, where he warmed up for Jurgen Becker. This was followed by a regular guest slot on "RTL Saturday Night", another nationally televised German language TV show. At this point, Rudiger Hoffmann tickets could sell out within days of his shows being announced, making him a somewhat unorthodox but highly successful choice as the opening act for the German leg of the The Rolling Stones' "Voodoo Lounge" world tour in 1995.
Hugely successful German comedy films
Rudiger Hoffmann then became a huge star in his homeland when he landed coveted roles in two of the most commercially successful German comedy films of all time: "7 Dwarves - Men Alone in the Forest" and its follow-up "7 Dwarves – The Forest Is Not Enough". After that, the only entertainment peak left to conquer for him was to indulge his lifelong love of pop and rock music. He released a fairly well acclaimed album entitled "Sex or Love" in 2007. This offering not only featured mainly mid-tempo easy listening pop songs, but also gave him the chance to explore his harder industrial tastes, as on the throbbing single "Testosterone". The song owed a large (and acknowledged) debt to Rammstein and earned him an entirely new audience. He celebrated his 25th year in showbiz with a wildly successful show at the Circus Roncalli, which was recorded and released on DVD.
