Ruido Fest Tickets
To music fans of all ages, the coming of summer indicates music festival season. Many people think of American rock and roll as a common musical genre of note for music festivals; however, diverse musical offerings at festivals around the world have expanded exponentially over the years. Ruido Fest is one such example. This music festival celebrates Latin alternative music in all its glory.
Ruido Fest is a three-day festival experience that occurs mid-summer in Chicago's Addams/Medill Park. Ruido Fest tickets are available for general admission or VIP access. Single-day tickets are also offered.
Ruido Fest is the first of its kind in the United States. No other music festival celebrates or showcases the amazing sounds of Latin electronic, post-punk, rock, hip-hop and other genres. This festival brings music varieties, long popular in Latin America, to audiences in the United States who may have been none the wiser. This brand new music festival is partnered with the better known Riot Fest and its promoters, ensuring it is well-organised and successful for years to come.
The artists included in Ruido Fest span the Latin music scene in genres and styles. Some of the artists include Ozomatli, Cumbia Machin, Café Tacvba, Molotov and Kinky. Additionally, La Vida Boheme, Descartes a Kant, Zoé, AJ Davila and Terror Amor, and many others, are slated to appear at this eclectic Latin music festival.
Ruido Fest buzz builds in its first year of existence. Audiences are excited for the chance to enjoy the best that the Latin music scene has to offer in the Chicago area.
Ozomatli are a Los Angeles-based group that combine Latin, hip-hop and rock into a unique bilingual music experience. Their unique sound has garnered them many hits. Their most well-received album was Street Signs, released in 2004. This album won them the Grammy for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album in 2005 and the Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, and it has had tracks featured in television and film including the hit movie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Café Tacvba (also known as Café Tacuba) have had their fair share of hits as well. In 2003, their album, Cuatro Caminos, was very popular, even earning spots on various top 100 lists. Kinky, a band hailing from Mexico, had their biggest hit with debut studio album, Kinky. Their track "Más" from that album was featured in the Denzel Washington film, Man on Fire, as well as in video games, television shows and a television commercial.
A show by any of these amazing Latin artists is a memorable experience. These groups love to perform live, interact with audiences, encourage audiences to sing along and participate in the music, and build energy with the crowd. As such, bringing all of these artists together for a three-day music festival is a Latin music experience not to be missed. You will learn about lesser known genres of Latin music through firsthand experience and enjoy the best that Latin music has to offer.
