Sacred Reich – loud, proud and as fast as a gale-force wind
Loud, proud and as fast as a musical gale-force wind, Sacred Reich are amongst the royalty of crossover thrash metal, and rightly so. Thousand mile per-hour drumming, gut-busting rhythm and bass guitars, all overlaid with the foot-to-the-floor virtuosity of lead guitar-shredding and the throat-tearing vocals that are the badge of the punk-and-metal hybrid that is thrash. Experience thrash at its best and delivered to you by one of its top exponents when you buy and sell Sacred Reich tickets on StubHub.
Sacred Reich are from Arizona, USA, and formed in 1985. The founding members were Phil Rind on bass and vocals, Ray Nay on drums, and Jeff Martinek on guitar, however Jeff sadly died in 2018. The band disbanded in 2000 but have reunited throughout the 21st Century for tours and recording. They have been aligned with Death Angel, Testament and Destruction as part of what is known as the second wave of thrash metal. Their early albums and EPs – Ignorance, The American Way and Surf Nicaragua – have been seen as iconic in the world of thrash metal and put Sacred Reich in the top tier of the genre. Thrash metal is considered an extremely aggressive member of the heavy metal family. It is seen as intensely political, and the work of band founder and chief lyric writer, Phil Rind, has indeed been described as "political" and "socially conscious". Crossover thrash, as played by Sacred Reich, combines elements of hardcore punk music with thrash. Buy and sell Sacred Reich tickets on StubHub to be astounded by the thunderous virtuosity of this band.
Wild, but positive
Energy, noise, rock played at full velocity and volume – these are the main elements of a Sacred Reich concert, coupled with songs from the heart and for the mind, metal with a conscience, songs for our times. Sacred Reich have survived the rigours and vicissitudes of the music industry to emerge wiser and wilder than before. Songwriter and front man Phil Rind believes that as well as the anger very much evident in his songs, it is important to remain positive. He has embraced Buddhism and, despite the wild and aggressive energy of the band’s music, finds positivity and peace through his spiritual search.
