San Diego Gulls Tickets
The NHL's Anaheim Ducks purchased the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2015 and moved them to Southern California. This move birthed the San Diego Gulls and launched a hockey tradition that has drawn over 1.2 million fans to Pechanga Arena in San Diego in their first four seasons alone. Although Southern California may not be known as an obvious hotbed of ice hockey action, the Gulls have plenty of local rivals. NHL teams have nearby affiliates in Ontario, San Jose, Stockton and Bakersfield. The Gulls and their California opponents play against each other in the AHL's Pacific Division. To the delight of their quickly growing fan base, the team enjoyed a run of success right from the start. After winning their first-ever home game against the Grand Rapids Griffins in front of a sellout crowd of 12,920 people, they took second place in the Pacific Division and advanced to the Calder Cup Playoffs. Since then, the Gulls have made three playoff appearances in four seasons. The Gulls average almost 9,000 fans per game, second in the AHL.
