About Sascha Grammel
Born in 1974, Sascha Grammel’s career started early on when he was accepted in the Magic Circle at Berlin, eventually moving to the Adult Circle. Working with the likes of Martin Sierp and Timothy Trust in 1992 – known as The Procrastinators – the trio won multiple awards. After the three decided to part ways, Grammel developed his own performance style which he dubbed Puppet Comedy. Combining puppetry, ventriloquism and magic, Grammel soon found his rise to fame.
In 1997, he began performing in public with his solo television show titled Hetz Me Not (Hate Me Not). In 2014, the show received a triple platinum award for DVD sales and had a record number of viewers, which was equivalent to an episode of American Idol on prime time television.
He’s also appeared on the show Candid Camera in 2010 and produced a new show, tour and DVD titled NO Anhung (No Idea) in 2013. Additional appearances include Late Shift – The Comedy Stage, Gruenwald (Green Forest), Volle Kanne (Full Pot), The Helene Fischer Show, Willkommen bei Mario Barth (Welcome to Mario Barth) and more. So far, Grammel has only been in one film, Der 7Bte Zwerg (The Story of the Seven Dwarves), as a synchronizing voice.
Not only does Sascha Grammel have a long list of personal and career achievements, but he is also the founder of Project Laughter Does Good! – a charity that teamed up with and is supported by the famous Red Nose: Clowns in the Hospital charity.
