As South Dakota's largest city, Sioux Falls is naturally the state's center of arts, culture and entertainment. The city couldn't have picked a more scenic place to center itself. Just north of the lively downtown neighborhood, the Big Sioux River cascades dramatically over the rock faces in Falls Park, creating a magical environment in which to enjoy the best entertainment around.
Sioux Falls venues
Sioux Falls is home to numerous top-notch live music venues. One of the local favorites is Bigs Sports Bar & Billiards, which features live concerts from nationally acclaimed bands as well as pool, darts, craft beer and pizza. The District Sioux Falls is another great place to enjoy wood-fired steaks and live music from some of the country's most popular bands and musicians (past performers include Modest Mouse and Gavin DeGraw).
If you're in the mood to cheer on some athletes, take a seat at Sioux Falls Stadium to watch the Sioux Falls Canaries from the North Division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. Sioux Falls is also home to the Sioux Falls Stampede, a Tier I Junior Ice Hockey team in the USHL.
