The Early Beginnings of a Rock Legend
Slash was born as Saul Hudson in Hampstead, London. His mother was a costume designer for David Bowie, and his father created albums covers for Neil Young. Around five years old, Saul and his family moved to Los Angeles, Calif. Actor Seymour Cassel gave him the nickname "Slash" because he was "always in a hurry."
