Sloan Concert Schedule
This Canadian indie rock band has been around for more than 20 years, which is why they have amassed such a large, devoted following over the course of their career. Considered one of the most popular alternative rock bands in Canada, this Juno-winning band definitely knows how to put on a great live show. Since its inception, Sloan's lineup has remained intact, which means that you now have the chance to see the original Sloan members rock out on stage in front of your very eyes, as Sloan is currently preparing for their round of shows.
Sloan has a couple of highly anticipated shows scheduled in California this year, and they will be taking the stage at top-tier venues like the Observatory in Santa Ana and the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Southern California rock fans definitely shouldn't miss out on the chance to see Sloan in concert this year.
Sloan is a rock band from Nova Scotia, Canada that formed in 1991. Sloan is one of the rare rock bands whose lineup has remained untouched over the decades, as the current lineup consists of the band's four founding members: Chris Murphy, Andrew Scott, Patrick Pentland and Jay Ferguson. In 1992, Sloan released their debut studio album, "Smeared," which paved the way for a string of critically acclaimed albums. Their second album, "Twice Removed," was included on Spin's list of "Best Albums You Didn't Hear" and a Chart magazine reader poll ranked it as the best Canadian album of all time. During the band's first several years together, they flew under the radar, and they achieved more success in the underground music scene rather than the mainstream music scene. That all changed in the 2000s, though, when Sloan released popular albums like "Pretty Together" (2001) and "Action Pact" (2003). Although Sloan never became a leading force in the international alt-rock scene, they have maintained a strong, loyal fan base over the years, and they still receive significant critical acclaim for their releases.
To date, Sloan has released ten studio albums, four of which went gold in Canada: "Smeared" (1992), "Twice Removed" (1994), "One Chord to Another" (1996) and "Navy Blues" (1998). Several of their recent albums have also achieved success on the US Billboard music charts, proving that Sloan has achieved success in both the Canadian music scene and the US music scene. Now, Sloan is preparing to bring their impressive repertoire of rock favorites to stages throughout Southern California, and these shows are sure to be some of the most talked about events in the alt-rock scene this season. When Sloan makes their way to a concert venue in your neck of the woods, you might get to see them perform catchy alt-rock hits like "The Good in Everyone," "Losing California" "and Unkind." No matter when you first became a fan of Sloan, you shouldn't miss out on the opportunity to see this talented group of rock musicians in concert this year.
