Smith's Ballpark is a Salt Lake City, Utah minor league baseball park. Erected in 1994, Smith's Ballpark seating holds up to 15,400, making it one of the largest in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). The Salt Lake Bees call Smith's Ballpark home, but the park has previously hosted the Seattle Mariners and the Colorado Rockies for special exhibition games. The Los Angeles Angels are major league affiliates. Where are the best seats located?
It's hard to find a bad seat at Smith's Ballpark. Like many minor league baseball parks, seating is divided into two levels with excellent views of the field from both. Press and luxury boxes are atop the second level. Picnic areas in the outfield put the third base line directly in your sights. Overall, Smith's Ballpark boasts some of the best overall views in baseball, showcasing a panorama of the Wasatch Mountains over the left and center field walls.
Can you get to Smith's Ballpark events by public transportation?
Yes. Transit Express, or TRAX, runs to and from all scheduled ballgames. Take TRAX to the "Ballpark" station at 1300 South and walk one block east to the field.
Do you need special Smith's Ballpark tickets for parking?
No, you do not. Smith's Ballpark parking is available in the North Lot during all games and events. Parking prices fluctuate but usually, stay under or around $10. This fee covers the entire time a game is in progress.
Can you bring food and beverages into Smith's Ballpark events?
You can bring your own water, but outside food is not permitted. Water must be in a sealed and clear plastic bottle. Staff conducts searches of bags, purses and backpacks upon your entry to the park. To fulfill your appetite, Smith's Ballpark offers all of the standard favorite foods of a Major League Baseball park. Concessions are located in section 100, the lower section, and feature everything from burgers, dogs, nachos and pizza to fresh sandwiches, barbecue, ice cream and beer.
What's the age requirement for Family Nights?
Generally, Smith's Ballpark welcomes children of all ages. Children under two don't require tickets, but they have to sit in a ticket holder's lap. This applies to Family Night as well. There is additional sit-down space on the grass berm, located just beyond the outfield fences. No chairs are allowed in this area, so you may want to bring a blanket. Some say this area offers the best views in the entire park.
Is Smith's Ballpark seating wheelchair accessible?
Yes, there is wheelchair accessible seating in the lower and upper areas of Smith's Ballpark. To reach accessible seating, enter at the Home Plate entrance and go through the glass doors on your left for the elevator.Back to Top
