Southern Illinois Salukis Basketball TicketsSouthern Illinois University basketball dates back to 1913. At that time, the team was known as the "Maroons." Like this canine, the Southern Illinois basketball team is known for its endurance and stamina. The Salukis have appeared in 10 NCAA tournaments (including three Sweet Sixteens) and hold an overall record of 6-10 for the NCAAT. They hold the title to nine Missouri Valley Regular Season championships, six IIAC Division II Regular Season Championships and five Missouri Valley Tournament Championships.
