It is one of the newest facilities in the Football Championship Subdivision. Southern Illinois opened the stadium with a game against Quincy Sept. 2, 2010. The stadium can hold 15,000 fans, and it has the capacity to fit 2,500 fans on the north end zone grass berm. There is a two-story press box with 12 club suites and a VIP Club Room. The scoreboard has been upgraded with a 20x40 digital board including video replay capabilities near the north end zone.
