The Staples Center is the centerpiece of a nearly six-million-square-foot AEG development that adjoins the arena with the LA Convention Center, Microsoft Theater, ESPN Zone, Ritz-Carlton and more, known collectively as LA Live. The multi-purpose facility hosts more than 250 events and four million spectators each year — everything from the NHL All-Star Game to Bruce Springsteen to the WWE’s SummerSlam. The arena is home to no fewer than four local sports franchises: the NBA’s Lakers and Clippers, the NHL’s Kings, and the WNBA’s Sparks. The best Staples Center seats are available at StubHub.
What is the Staples Center’s seating capacity?
Where are the best Staples Center seats located?
In addition to their incomparable all-floor views, the Staples Center’s coveted Premier Seats offer a private entrance and in-seat food and beverage service. But even the so-called nosebleeds also offer sweeping vantage points to please choosy fans. (Plus, there’s always the Panasonic Live 4HD board for backup.) If you’ve ever dreamed of high-fiving your favorite player, look for seats near the tunnel in Section 117, where NBA and WNBA players enter and exit the court. (For Kings games, the home team’s bench is located in front of Sections 101 and 102.)
Is the Staples Center accessible by public transportation?
The Staples Center is just a block from L.A. Metro Rail’s Pico stop on the Blue and Expo lines, and Metro Bus offers service on its 30, 81, 442, 460 and Silver lines.
Is there on-site parking?
There are 3,300 spaces at Staples Center-owned parking lots, and more than 16,000 additional spaces available within a 10-minute walk of the arena.
Can you tell me about the food and drink offerings?
You haven’t lived until you’ve tried a Mac ‘N’ Cheese Dog at Dave’s Doghouse. You’ll find them on the Main Concourse next to Sections 102 and 111. Or eat like a movie star at WP24 by Wolfgang Puck. Before settling into his courtside seats, Lakers super-fan Jack Nicholson often settles into a plate of nouveau Chinese at this hotspot, located on the 24th floor of The Ritz-Carlton at LA Live. The Premier Tables and Lounges at the San Manuel Club offer plush, living-room style chairs with access to the chef's table and cocktails. Hamburgers and hot dogs aren’t your thing? In 2013, PETA named the Staples Center the most “vegetarian-friendly” arena in the NBA.
Are there other entertainment options nearby?
The Staples Center is only one part of a nearly six-million-square-foot AEG development that adjoins the arena with the LA Convention Center, Microsoft Theater, ESPN Zone, Ritz-Carlton and more, known collectively as LA Live. Home to the Grammy Awards since 2004, there’s also the Grammy Museum, a year-round favorite located just across the street from the Staples Center.
We’ll be bringing our baby along. Will we have access to changing tables?
If you’re on diaper duty, don’t panic. Baby changing tables are located throughout the arena in all Family Restrooms.
Is the Staples Center a wheelchair-friendly facility?
Absolutely. The Staples Center provides complimentary wheelchair escorts for ticketholders with special needs. Escorts are available at all entry points, and accessible seating is featured on all levels.
