Is there parking at Playhouse Square events?
State Theatre - The Playhouse Square Center offers on-site parking garage for a fee that's lower in price than parking at other downtown venues. Enjoy an accessible, covered walkway to the theaters from the second floor of the garage with available elevators on every level. To ensure you have parking space for your event at the venue, purchase parking passes in advance as they aren't sold online or at the ticket office the day of the event itself.
Is the venue a wheelchair-friendly facility?
The venue works hard to provide barrier-free access to their events and performances. Four of the theaters, Connor Palace, KeyBank State, Ohio and Hanna, don't have elevator access to upstairs balconies or mezzanine areas. All front door entrances use automatic doors. The doors between the walkway leading to the theaters and Playhouse Square are also automatic. There are escorts with wheelchairs stationed at the front doors of all theaters, and there are designated accessible seats at each theater. The main floor of each theater has wheelchair-accessible restrooms on the main floor. There are house managers on duty for each performance in each theater, and additional help if needed can be obtained from any RedCoat volunteer.
What food and drink items are offered at the theater?
There are concession stands in the Playhouse Square Center, conveniently stationed throughout the theaters with a wide range of snack and beverage options. You can enjoy baked goods, Bavarian soft pretzels, candies, cheese and meat boards, signature popcorns and more. For beverages, you'll find bottled water, coffee and Coca-Cola products along with craft beers, premium wines and spirits. At any given event you can find additional or specialty items available to buy.
Is there a camera policy for Playhouse Square Center events?
There are no cameras, camera phones, audio, video and digital recorders, smartphones or paging devices of any type allowed in any of the theaters.
Does the Playhouse Square Center have a child policy?
Children 2 years of age and older are welcome at Playhouse Square performances and events. The venue, however, makes no guarantee on show content, and the events aren't censored in any way. Parents or guardians should use their best judgment when bringing children to given performances. All guests, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend and children must be seated with a ticketed adult. Children of all ages are welcome to child-friendly shows, and if your baby is 1 year old and under, they will be admitted at no charge so long as they sit on an adult's lap.Back to Top
