What was the Temple Owls’ record last year?The 2018-2019 season was full of victories for the Owls. The team had an overall record of 23-5, winning 13 home games, eight away games and two neutral games. Thirteen of those wins were at All-American Athletic Conference games. Temple defeated an Associated Press Top 25 team, the Houston Cougars, on Jan. 9, making last season the 12th year in a row the Owls defeated one of these teams. Who is the head coach of the Temple Owls' basketball team?Aaron McKie begins his first season as head coach this year. A Temple alum, McKie began his basketball career as a player. Playing for three seasons for the Temple Owls, he was one of the best players in the history of the team. His basketball career extended beyond Temple. McKie was selected in the first round of the 1994 NBA Draft, playing for the Portland Trail Blazers and the Philadelphia 76ers. With over a decade of coaching experience to bring to the team, McKie is the 18th head coach of the Temple Owls, following in the footsteps of Temple greats Coach Litwack, Coach Chaney and Coach (Fran) Dunphy.
