Terror Jr tour dates
Terror Jr is an electro-pop trio featuring two male music producers, Felix Snow and Benjamin Singer-Vine, and a female lead singer, Lisa Vitale. The group is best known for their song "3 Strikes," which appeared in a commercial for reality star Kylie Jenner's lip-gloss range. They have also enjoyed success with the single "Come First" and their series of Bop City EPs.
Terror Jr's history
Terror Jr began as a collaboration between music producers Felix Snow and David Benjamin Singer-Vine (also known as Campa). They met via Twitter in 2014 and worked together on a project called Momma, but lost touch as they focused on other opportunities. In 2015, the pair was reunited when they both worked on the single "Gold," which became a breakthrough hit for pop singer Kiara. The following year, they started Terror Jr.
The producers described Terror Jr as a "social experiment," as they had a careful strategy to release pieces of information about the band gradually, allowing fans to put them together like a puzzle over time. Their first release was an EP called Bop City in October 2016, through a joint deal with Atlantic Records and their own label, EFFESS.
A month later, they became one of the most talked-about acts on the Internet when their track "3 Strikes" was featured in a commercial for Kylie Jenner's lip-gloss brand. As there was so little information available online about Terror Jr, the media jumped to the conclusion that it was a pseudonym for Jenner herself, as it had long been rumored that she was working on a music career. Jenner denied on social media that she was the vocalist on "3 Strikes" and soon fans had tracked down the trio's identities.
The single "Come First" from the Bop City EP became a hit in Europe, reaching the official charts in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. It also made a big impact on Spotify, with over 83 million plays, and reached the top 10 of Billboard's Spotify Velocity chart. In 2017, Terror Jr released two further EPs in the Bop City series: Bop City 2: TerroRising in June and Bop City 3: The Girl Who Cried Purple in September. In promotion of the third EP, they released the first photo showing lead singer Lisa Vitale, in which she is crying tears of purple grape juice into drinking glasses. They also released the lead single from the EP, titled "Holding Your Tongue."
Due to their mysterious marketing strategy, Terror Jr delayed playing live shows. The first Terror Jr tour takes place in October 2017, visiting venues across the U.S. and Canada.
