Chene Park Amphitheatre is located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The park was built in the early 1980s to compete with other amphitheaters in the area and to give Detroiters access to the beautiful waterfront that was mostly used for a shipping port. It has developed into an exciting concert space in the heart of the bustling downtown area of Detroit. With the backdrop of the Detroit River and the City of Windsor, Canada, the amphitheater has been nationally recognized as one of the top 10 things to do in Detroit and one of the top 100 amphitheaters in the world. A-list music acts from those who made Detroit the home of Motown to present-day entertainers include Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Ray Charles, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg & the Dog Pound, DMX, Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent. In 2018, Chene Park hosted "A People's Tribute to the Queen" and updated the name to be the "Aretha Franklin Amphitheater." What is the Chene Park's seating capacity?

The amphitheater seats 5,000, and there are 1,000 lawn spaces on the hill. Don't be surprised to see boats anchored in the water to listen to the shows too.

Where are the best Chene Park seats located?

Almost all of the seats have good views of the stage. The pavilion will keep you dry from inclement weather in the case of rain. The lawn seats are typically more affordable and have a little more of a relaxed atmosphere.
