The Basilisk tour dates
The Basilisk is a young and promising band from Bedfordshire, England that plays a style of alternative metal and hard rock in a similar vein to fellow musicians that the band admires, such as Muse and Killswitch Engage. Established in 2012, the band has since built up a strong touring schedule, playing in smaller venues around the U.K., such as The Portland Arms in Cambridge. The band is composed of members Jack Hutchings on vocals, Dylan Adkins on bass guitar, Tom Gulliver on guitar and Harvey Lake on drums. Those looking to attend The Basilisk tour can expect an energetic and heavy show that fans of similar alternative metal and rock and roll bands will enjoy.
The Basilisk's background
The four members of The Basilisk became acquainted in their home town of Bedfordshire, England, where they met in their teens and, through socializing and attending rock shows, realized that they had similar musical interests and heroes. Based on a shared enjoyment of alternative metal from England, Europe and across the pond, they came together to create a new band that they decided to title The Basilisk. Their early music was a mix of post-grunge and metal, overlaid with clean vocals and the occasional harsher vocals. They are big supporters of fellow bands in the alternative metal space and enjoy touring and performing solo and at bigger festivals.
The Basilisk's biggest hits
The Basilisk has released one album to date, titled Home Is Where the Heart Is, which came out in the late summer of 2017. The sound of their debut album falls solidly in the band's trademark alt-metal style. Following the album's release, the band has toured in support of the album for the following year. Their most popular song to date is "White Hot Teeth," the latest single off of the album.
The Basilisk's biggest concerts
Fresh off of the release of their first album, the Basilisk has been touring in support of their 2017 album Home Is Where the Heart Is, as well as playing new material. They have performed at several festivals, including Day of the Tron Festival at The Portland Arms in Cambridge and the Battle of the Bands at The Stables venue in the village of Wavendon, England. In addition to festivals, The Basilisk has also played at a number of other, more intimate venues in the U.K., such as The Castle Tavern in Luton, 02 Academy Islington, The Doctor's Tavern in Welwyn Garden City and Club 85 in Hitchin.
