The Bodyguard The Musical San Diego Tickets
About The Bodyguard
The film The Bodyguard was released in theaters in 1992, starring Whitney Houston (the film was her acting debut) and Kevin Costner. This romantic thriller was written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Big Chill, The Empire Strikes Back) and directed by Mick Jackson. The second-highest-grossing film worldwide in 1992, The Bodyguard made $411 million. The soundtrack became one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time, selling more than 45 million copies.
In this story, former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer is hired to protect music superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. A clash of personalities as the tension (and danger) builds finds each character expecting the other to follow his/her commands. What these two don’t expect is to fall in love.
