The Book of Mormon Kalamazoo Tickets
The Book of Mormon
The hilarious musical The Book of Mormon broke ticket sales records when it opened on Broadway in 2011 and continues to shatter them while on tour. The satire musical, co-written by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker and Frozen composer Robert Lopez, follows the journey of two enthusiastically devout young Mormons who set out to change the world, one convert at a time. Featuring lampooning numbers such as “Hasa Diga Eebowai,” “Turn it Off” and “I Believe,” The Book of Mormon delivers an uproariously uplifting theatrical experience.
Elder Kevin Price, a top-of-the-class missionary candidate at the LDS Church Training Center, can’t wait to find out where the church will send him on his quest to recruit new members to the Church of Latter Day Saints. He has his heart set on Orlando. The church assigns him to Uganda. Worse yet, his mission partner is Elder Arnold Cunningham, a bottom-of-the-class overly affable missionary-in-training with a compulsive lying problem.
Upon arrival, the two evangelists find that Africa isn’t the safari they expected. Their struggle to survive their dangerously hilarious adventure features run-ins with warlords, plague victims and other lost souls looking for redemption.
