The Classic West Tickets
Classic West TicketsThe Classic West was a two-day, nostalgia-driven rock concert held July 15 and 16, 2017, in Los Angeles, Calif. The Eagles headlined the event in Dodger Stadium on Saturday night supported by Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers. Fleetwood Mac was the star on Sunday with super bands Journey and Earth, Wind and Fire opening the night. The same line-up played Classic East on July 29 and 30, 2017 in Flushing, New York at Citi Field. The two shows were inspired by The Desert Trip festival held in Indio, Calif., in October 2016, featuring The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Walters, Bob Dylan and The Who.
Classic West Tributes Glenn FreyClassic West was the first concert The Eagles performed at after the death of guitarist, vocalist and co-founder, Glenn Frey. Vince Gill played guitar with The Eagles and sang most of Frey's songs. Frey's son Deacon played his father's guitar parts and provided the vocals for the hits "Take It Easy," "Already Gone" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling." During an instrumental break in the last song, the 24-year old asked the crowd, "Anybody out there miss my dad?" Pictures of his father were projected behind the band. On Sunday night, Stevie Nicks dedicated "Landslide" to Frey during Fleetwood Mac's set. The festival ended with a firework display and a crowd sing-along to Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow."
